I finally figured out the McCain-Palin ticket…

The bumblings of the Republican Party only become coherent once we understand that the McCain-Palin ticket was designed to fail.  There was no possible Republican candidate who could overcome George W. Bush’s disastrous tenure, and so the decision was made—in one way or another—to have McCain and Palin fall on the proverbial sword.

This is the perfect time to hand over the White House to the Democrats.  Why not let Obama suffer through an inevitable recession that will be entirely out of his control?  Why not let him try to rescue the troops from Iraq?  Why not put him into office at a time when forces that are beyond his control make it very likely that his presidency will be a difficult one?

Why not just give up and make a more coherent run for the Presidency once the sour taste of George Bush isn’t so fresh on our lips.
