blogging makes the world seem a bit smaller
this got me to thinking, what new opportunities have you encountered through your blogging experience? a new job? a new friend, perhaps? in the beginning, and even still, i felt that with the creation of my blog came the need to share my emotions, although i continually self-censor myself for fear of burdening you all with inane thoughts. to blog is to share your feelings with others, whether intentional or unintentional, and the tumblr community allows me to meet new people in the process.
As I have said elsewhere: No blog is an island; Tumblr is the lifeboat. Now, I am not going to lie and say that Tumblr has lifted me from the depths of hell and kept me delicately suspended in the calming ether of tranquilty, but at the same time it is very obvious that this is a platform like no other.
Tumblr has a really seductive way of reassuring me that despite all appearances to the contrary, there might actually be humans on the internet after all. Who knew?
